Welcome to the War History Network. The site uses a 3-column layout consisting of modules, an intuitive web design similar to that used by LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.

Here are some of the ways to post (and reply) to content on the site, after Sign In:

  • War Forum: Posts & Discussions
  • General Open Forum
  • Book Forum and Book Reviews
  • Videos
  • Photo Albums and Photos

War Forum: Posts & Discussions
This is the primary and most-viewed source to post (and reply) to content. The module is located on the far-left side of the Home page, immediately beneath Leydekkers Photography. Simply click on the era of history you’d like to post to and click on the + Add Discussion button located on the upper right-hand corner of the Forum (center column). All posts can be edited or deleted.

General Open Forum
This is located in the center column, and posts can be added here by clicking on the + Add Discussion button. Replies can be added here as well. The Forum can also be accessed at the header of the Home page.

Book Forum and Book Reviews
This forum can be accessed in the War Forum: Posts & Discussions module. Book reviews and book-related posts can be added here, and as with other forums and modules, use the + Add Discussion button.

Videos
Videos can also be accessed at the top header of the Home page. Videos can be uploaded here by clicking on the + Add Video button located in the upper right-hand corner of the All Videos page. The easiest way to upload is via YouTube. Simply insert the URL and paste it into the open field beneath the text “You can paste a link from YouTube, Hulu, Vimeo, or any embed code here:” You can then add and edit corresponding text with your own narrative, thoughts, etc.

Photo Albums and All Photos
This can also be accessed at the header of the Home page. The methodology of adding photos is similar to uploading videos. Simply click on the + Add Photo button/link in the upper-right-hand corner and follow the steps. You’ll be presented with an area to add text and prompted to add a corresponding era, theater or battle-related category. Then click Save.
