On Tuesday, November 22 the Military History Club turns its attention to one of America’s greatest humanitarians and his work on food supply during World War I. Spencer Howard, Archives Technician of the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library-Museum in West Branch, Iowa will Zoom in to speak to us about Hoover’s role as chairman of the Committee for the Relief of Belgium and his leadership of the U.S. Food Administration after American Declaration of War. The luncheon buffet will be available so attendees will not fear calls to “Hooverize”. Join us to learn about these often overlooked but crucial initiatives during the Great War. |
