In observance of the 75th Anniversary of the landings at Inchon, Korea, the Military History Club welcomes a Zoom appearance by Christopher Perry, Command Historian of the Royal Canadian Navy on Tuesday, September 23. In this amphibious operation, United Nations sea and land forces from seven nations, including Canadian destroyers, HMCS Cayuga, HMCS Athabaskan and HMCS Sioux, reversed the tide of North Korean advance.
Mr. Perry is retired from a 27-year career in the Royal Canadian Navy, including deployments in the Arabian and Persian Gulfs, and holds an MA degree in War in the Modern World from King’s College, London and was recently elected a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. Join us as we reflect on this landmark battle of the Korean War. For link, contact Jim Gallen, jmgalen1@juno.com.
