At noon on Tuesday, August 26, the Military History Club welcomes a return Zoom presentation by Craig Symonds, who will talk about the subject of his new book, 
Annapolis Goes to War: The Naval Academy Class of 1940 and its Trial by Fire in World War II. Symonds is a professor Emeritus at the U. S. Naval Academy and was the Distinguished Visiting Ernest J. King Professor of Maritime History at the U.S. Naval War College. He is a recipient of Lincoln Prize, the Samuel Eliot Morison Award for Naval Literature, the Gilder-Lehrman Military History prize and Pritzker Military Museum & Library Literature Award for Lifetime Achievement in Military Writing and frequent speaker nationally and on C-Span.
